...stop building the TT, and give the small, styling intensive coupe role to VW.

Add twin turbo 5-pot for maximum quirk.

Or just make the next A-RS 5 amazing. That’d work too.

I agree about TT.

However, TT is not an inexpensive coupe to give, at least not based on price-point. TT is more expensive than A5, for some weird reason.

I have LONG suggested that Audi should re-vamp it’s coupe lineup.

A5, still based on A4’s wheelbase, should be marketed along with A6 and A7.

Quattro Sport should be made out of steel, and parallel A4 sedan, which should just be a 5-door fastback, what is now called A5 SportBack... Delete A5 Sportback as the nameplate, call that car A4. It will be different than the A3 sedan below, and the A6 sedan above, and with it’s 3-door fastback coupe sister.

Replace the TT with The R5. Basically a re-shuffled TT, with the engine in the back, with a variable electric through-the-road parallel hybrid drive/brake energy recovery system on the front axle, for AWD. Minimal batteries, minimal added complexity over 2WD, minimal added weight, but maintaining versatility and traction advantage.

The VW should update the Scirocco, or succeed the Corrado, and have optional AWD, either Haldex, or a similar electric assist. The question is... can VW still sell cars in the US, and well enough to support both Beetle and something sleeker. (or just make Beetle a convertible-only, with a hard-top that looks like the coupe’s roof... at a more affordable price than EOS.)
